Beware the Ides of March.

1. ‘Beware the Ides of March’, wrote the know-it-all, William Shakespeare.

He got it pretty right. Cyclone Pam in Vanuatu happened only one day before, and the residents there are in our thoughts. We wish them well.

As for Speakers’ Corner itself, it was a blustery day with few passers-by. Towards the end of the afternoon it rained heavily. Shakespeare may have been a competent playwright, but as a long-range weather forecaster he excelled.

2. There was talk about economics. The picture below comes to mind.
